Gazan Arabs have broken down the Gaza-Egypt border near Rafiach and are rushing to the Egyptian side.

Exchanges of fire are being reported. Protests have taken place in the area since the morning.

Since the 2005 abandonment of the border by Israel following the Disengagement, the border has been open for weeks at a time. Egypt is currently not allowing Gazan Arabs to freely enter the country.
