(IsraelNN.com) Iran has received a shipment of nuclear fuel from Russia, Tehran radio reported Tuesday. The 11-ton package of enriched uranium is the fifth time installment of Russian nuclear fuel to the Islamic Republic. Three additional shipments are expected at the southern port city of Bushehr in the coming weeks.

Despite repeated calls by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to "wipe Israel off the map," Iran insists its nuclear ambitions are peaceful. However, Israel intelligence officials say there is evidence Iran intends to build nuclear weapons, and defense officials warn that a nuclear-armed Iran would pose an immediate, strategic threat to Israel.
