(IsraelNN.com) -Prime Minister Ehud Olmert underwent a cosmetic operation on his eyelid shortly after returning from China but did not inform ministers beforehand. The operation took 40 minutes in a private clinic and was performed under local anesthesia. Although there was no general anesthesia and therefore no need to transfer power to next-in-command Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, observers have noted that there is no system for reporting on the health of the Prime Minister.
