US President George W. Bush arrived in Ramallah shortly before 10:00 a.m. Thursday for a visit with Palestinian Authority Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas at his headquarters in the  Mukata, once the stronghold of arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat, Abbas’s mentor.

PA officials literally rolled out the red carpet for the US president on his first visit to the PA territories. Bush emerged from his car within the walls of the compound, where he was greeted by Abbas.
