Study: Israel's Image Suffered From Disengagement (IsraelNN.com) Hebrew University researchers say Israel's foreign media image has gotten worse since the 2005 disengagement from Gaza and northern Samaria. Dr. Tamir Sheafer of the Department of Politics and Itai Gabai of the Department of Communications & Journalism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem say negative coverage of Israel in British and US media has increased since Israel evicted 9,000 Jewish residents from their homes two-and-a-half years ago. "We also found that the demands from Israel to [make] territorial concessions in the Territories not only were not lessened following the disengagement, but actually became stronger," said Gabai. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
