Alex Shnaider, a Canadian Jewish businessman, has purchased the Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer club.  Under the deal, Shnaider will control 80 percent, with 20 percent being purchased by the Maccabi Tel Aviv Association. 

The total cost of the contract is reported to be NIS 69 million.
