The Knesset Guard will begin investigating the distribution of packets of itching powder to 120 Knesset members. The envelopes were permitted into the Knesset because they were said to be promotional materials from the Israel Psoriasis Association. The organization's media advisors allegedly wanted the legislators to get a sense of what psoriasis sufferers experience, and therefore increase the variety of treatments for the condition under national healthcare coverage.
The Knesset Guard is considering permanently barring those involved in the incident from the Knesset.
