Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said Thursday that he rejected the concept of a PA state with temporary borders.  The idea of a provisional PA state is a key part of the Road Map, which Israel and the PA have agreed to follow.

Abbas said that he would not accept such a state for fear that the temporary borders would become permanent.  Earlier in the day senior Hamas terrorists and several senior members of Fatah voted in a law that would forbid PA leaders to negotiate over Jerusalem, and would define any leader who agreed to partial Israeli control in the city as a traitor.
