Olmert Wants Arabs To Open Consular Offices in Israel

The Arab League nations without diplomatic relations with Israel should open lower level consular offices in the Jewish state to show their "good will" following the Annapolis conference, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon Monday night.

The U.N. officials visited the Prime Minister at his hotel room along with Dan Gillerman, Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. They also discussed the political crisis in Lebanon, where the inability to stage elections for president has created the threat of a possible civil war between pro and anti-Syrian forces.
