Hundreds of rabbis will take part in an assembly at Yeshivat HaKotel on Monday evening. The yeshiva is located near the Western Wall (Kotel), where tens of thousands have gathered to pray for divine intervention in the Annapolis conference and ongoing negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
The assembly will be led by Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Zalman Melamed, and Rabbi Yaakov Shapira, the son of Rabbi Avraham Shapira, who passed away on the Sukkot holiday. A film on Rabbi Avraham Shapira will be shown during the assembly. The rabbis are expected to issue a sharp rebuke to the government over recent decisions to release terrorists, freeze Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria, and discuss plans to create a PA state in Judea, Samaria, and part of Jerusalem.
