(IsraelNN.com) Delegates from 45 Sister City projects met Thursday in Carmiel in preparation for the International Conference for Sister Cities with Israeli localities that will take place in Jerusalem in March. The conference meets once every 10 years, and the coming year's theme is Attractiveness of City-City of Competition.

Carmiel Mayor Adi Eldar called on the delegates to "join us in friendship and brotherhood, to build bridges for peace among all people." Mayors of dozens of cities throughout the world are expected to sign Sister-Cities agreements next year, including Bonn and Barcelona.
