Beitar J'lem: Appeal to High Court if Punished (update) (IsraelNN.com) The chairman of the Beitar Jerusalem soccer team, Eli Arazi, said Wednesday that he planned to appeal to the High Court if his team is punished by the Israel Football Association's court, following the booing by fans during a minute of silence in memory of slain Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin. The IFA prosecutor, Shalom Even Ezra, asked the court to bar all spectators from the team's home games, for eight to ten games. The court is expected to announce its decision Thursday. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely. Written and oral arrangements prior to April, 2007 must be reconfirmed.
