The Doctors for Human Rights group and a group of 34 soldiers both filed suit in the Supreme Court on Thursday against IDF medical tests. The soldiers say they were among hundreds of soldiers who were given experimental anthrax vaccines. They argue that some soldiers suffered complications from the vaccines due to preexisting medical conditions that IDF doctors failed to take into account.
Doctors for Human Rights argued that the soldiers’ participation in the project should not have been allowed. IDF hierarchy makes the soldiers’ consent “suspect and extremely problematic,” they said.
