Olmert Docs Say He Can Continue to Work

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will be able to continue to function in office both before and after surgery for the prostate cancer which was confirmed last week by biopsy following a blood test that detected the disease, according to his doctors.

Treatment for the condition can be postponed at least six weeks, said the doctors at a news conference held at noon Monday. Prime Minister Olmert said he would not need chemotherapy for the tumor, which doctors said is small with no metastases.
