Prime Minister Ehud Olmert visited Rabin Park in Paris Monday morning, where pictures of three kidnapped IDF soldiers are featured. The Prime Minister previously promised that soldiers Gilad Shalit, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev must be released before Israel would talk with terrorist leaders or agree to ceasefires.
During his visit, Prime Minister Olmert said that the letter the missing navigator Ron Arad wrote after being kidnapped but which was not handed over to Israel until recently is "very touching and very painful." He added that Israel "will do everything in order to receive additional information" about Arad and the other kidnapped soldiers.
Israel previously has released Hizbullah prisoners without receiving any information concerning the fate of Arad.
