A real estate company in Dubai recently ran an advertisement in a United Arab Emirates newspaper using the image of Nazi leader Adolph Hitler. The ad, created by Conqueror Real Estate, shows a picture of Hitler next to the phrase “Conqueror: The World is Yours.”
The advertisement provoked criticism from many readers, and many commentators and bloggers reacted with anger. Conqueror manager David Dakak supported the ad, saying that “He [Hitler] is a famous person, bad or good, I don’t care” and telling detractors that the ad had succeeded in grabbing attention.
