Back to Homesh for the Last Days of the Sukkot Holiday

Activists will again hit the road Tuesday in another march to the site of the former Samarian Jewish community of Homesh. Marchers will gather at the nearby community of Shavei Shomron to begin the journey to the rock-strewn hilltop ruins.

Former residents were thrown out of their homes during the 2005 Disengagement operation, along with those of 24 other small towns in northern Samaria and the Gush Katif region of Gaza.

Announcements by the Homesh First organization have recommended participants to bring along a sleeping bag, warm clothing and food for two days, enough to last through Hoshana Rabah and Simchat Torah, the last days of the week-long Sukkot holiday.
