Thousands at Western Wall for Priestly Blessing

Thousands of Jews from all walks of life crowded into the plaza at the Western Wall Sunday morning, one of the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday, for the traditional priestly blessing known as Birkat HaKohanim.

Police estimated more than 15,000 worshippers arrived at the Wall, the last vestige of the Holy Temple that was destroyed some 2,000 years ago.  Sections of Highway 1 were blocked off in order to facilitate the flow of traffic to the site.
