Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas spoke to members of the United Nations Security Council on Thursday, asking them to put a stop to IDF operations in Gaza. 11 people, at least seven of them terrorists, were killed during operations on Wednesday and Thursday. An eighth terrorist was reportedly killed on Thursday night shortly after firing a rocket towards Gabim.
Abbas plans to meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and ask him to pressure Israel to stop the operations. Earlier in the day Hamas criticized Abbas for failing to speak out against the operations, accusing him of “cooperating with the occupation... in order to eliminate Hamas.”
