Chief WTC Engineer Made Aliyah, Teaching in Samaria

(IsraelNN.com) The chief engineer who designed the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center made Aliyah (moved to Israel) in 2003, according to a report by the Jerusalem Post.

Chaim Brown has now established a company in Israel to build pre-fab solar-powered homes in the Negev Desert.

Brown said he decided to make Aliyah about a week after the September 11, 2001 attacks that brought down the towers. “It dawned on me that these are the same terrorists who have been attacking Israel since 1947, and I felt I had to do something about it,” he said. "Yigal Cohen-Orgad, the chairman of the executive committee of the College of Judea and Samaria in Ariel, asked me if I would consider accepting a teaching position. (I had lectured before at the Technion and Ben-Gurion University.) My accepting the offer to teach in Judea and Samaria was my statement to the terrorists."
