Calls are growing for the government to allow the IDF to carry out a ground incursion into Gaza in the wake of a Kassam rocket attack on the Zikum army base that injured 66 new recruits early Tuesday.
Former IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Ya’alon added his voice to the clamor for action, saying that ground raids are a “must” in order to stop the rocket attacks.
Public Security Minister Avi Dichter also joined the growing chorus, saying the question of how to respond to the attacks is not a matter of whether or not to initiate a ground incursion, but rather, when.
