The secondary school teachers union has decided to strike in middle and high schools throughout the country beginning on Friday. The union’s decision came shortly after the National Labor Court repealed an order preventing the teachers from striking.
Government officials said they had asked the court to repeal the order. Negotiators felt that talks between the teachers and the Finance Ministry would be friendlier if the preventative order was cancelled, they explained.
