Hamas Planning Mega Terror Attack in Israel

Director of the Israel Security Agency, the Shin Bet, told the cabinet on Sunday that Hamas leaders in Damascus have ordered its followers in Judea and Samaria to carry out a large-scale terror attack in Israel.  The news shows the growing influence of Hamas in Judea and Samaria since its take over of the Gaza strip following Israel’s retreat.

The director of the Shin Bet said also that smuggling in to the Gaza Strip has increased. Since Israel handed over of the border crossing to Egypt, he said the Arabs have managed to smuggle in over 40 tons of dynamite. The Olmert government had claimed that after handing over security control to Egypt the smuggling of weapons and explosives into the Gaza Strip would stop.
