Rumania's police suspect that Boaz Yonah, CEO of the failed Heftzibah Group, may have been taken hostage by members of the Rumanian underworld, who are holding him in a casino until he returns some of the money he owes them.
Rumanian police raided several casinos in Bucharest and Costanza, in the hope of finding Yonah, reports daily newspaper Ma'ariv.
Businessmen representing Heftzibah's subsidiaries flew to Rumania over the weekend in order to make sure that Yonah does not attempt to sell off assets and liquidate accounts owned by the companies in order to live off of them or pay off debts.
