The Reuters News Agency, in a report on the history of Palestinian Authority (PA)-Israeli negotiations over the past 16 years, totally ignored Arab terrorism but noted the assassination of former Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin. It also commented that the Oslo War, which it called the 'Palestinian uprising," began after "Israeli right-wing opposition leader, Ariel Sharon, visit[ed] Jerusalem's Temple Mount, revered by Muslims."
The account noted the historic handshake between Rabin and Yasser Arafat but entirely skipped over years of suicide bombings and other terrorist attacks that killed hundreds of Israelis.
Reuters also informed its readers of the "pullout of troops and settlers" from Gaza two years ago but did not mention the continuing Kassam rocket attacks on Israel. It also stated that "militants captured" IDF soldier and that Israel then "invaded" Gaza.
