Netanyahu Proposes Education Reform

Likud head Binyamin Netanyahu spoke to reporters on Wednesday night and proposed a plan for educational reform.  According to his plan, applicants would face stricter standards for acceptance to teaching positions, while teachers would receive double their current salaries.

Netanyahu also proposed increasing the focus on Zionism and Israeli history in public schools.  His proposal came as he began his primaries campaign against Jewish Leadership faction leader Moshe Feiglin and World Likud head Danny Danon.
