The Israel Armed Forces are in better shape than they were last year, when the Second Lebanon War broke out, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told a Cabinet committee responsible for carrying out recommendations of the Winograd Committee.

He said soldiers have undergone new and different training as a result of lessons learned in the war. The Prime Minister also said the committee will decide whether to establish a national crisis center to help the government leader receive information faster and more efficiently in emergencies.
