"The Likud has forgotten that in February, 2005 [then-ministers] Binyamin (Bibi) Netanyahu and Limor Livnat enthusiastically backed" moves to free Arab terrorists, an official of the office of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Sunday. He was reacting to sharp Likud criticism of the government's amnesty plan to remove 178 Fatah-aligned terrorists from the "wanted list."

Under the plan, the terrorists would receive  thousands of dollars in return for their weapons.

Leaders of two coalition partners, Shas and Israel Our Home (Yisrael Beiteinu), have stated they are against the plan.
