France is hosting a two-day conference near Paris, where 30 politicians, including Hizbullah terrorist party members, are stating their positions on the political crisis in Lebanon.
No details were released on the first meeting Saturday, and a press conference is scheduled for Sunday evening. French President Nicolas Sarkozy's statements labeling Hizbullah a terrorist organization almost triggered a cancellation of the conference, but French authorities issued a "clarifying statement," Hizbullah delegation leader Mohammed Fneish said.
France has said it will raise the issue of kidnapped IDF soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, but foreign media generally have ignored the topic.
