A Hamas representative in Lebanon, Usama Hamdan, called Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas a liar, following Abbas' tough speech Wednesday.
Speaking on Al Jazeera satellite television, Hamdan said Abbas's speech was riddled with lies. "We protected the national institutions and symbols, and we reject the idea of a temporary state that Abu Mazen [Abbas] is trying to pin on Hamas," he said.
