IDF tanks rolled back into Gaza Tuesday afternoon, according to the Reuters news agency. The tanks entered the war-torn area through the Erez border crossing, where some 150 Palestinian Authority residents have been waiting on the Gaza side, hoping to enter Israel in the wake of the Hamas terrorist takeover of the area.

PA terrorists in Gaza have fired mortar shells and other weapons at IDF positions near the Erez crossing over the past several weeks.

Monday evening, Popular Resistance Committees terrorists and IDF soldiers exchanged gunfire at the crossing, killing two Gaza residents and wounding 10 others who were trying to flee from the newly Hamas-controlled area.
