MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union/NRP) said Sunday that Israel does not need to supply the Arabs in Gaza with "even one grain of food." Eldad said the Gazans should look southwards for their basic supplies: "Gaza shares a border with Egypt, so let them buy water, electricity, food and medicine from the Egyptians," he said.

"Instead of smuggling weapons through the tunnels [they dug to Egypt] let them transfer medicine and food in them," Eldad explained, adding that "medicine and food can also be transferred legally, through the border crossing."

MK Eldad also said Israel needed to stop supplying Gaza with electricity. Israel carried out a "disengagement," he said, but continues to supply electricity to the turneries that make terror rockets. "This kind of idiocy has no parallel in the history of violent struggles between a state and a terror organization," he said.
