Two polls published by Israelis largest Hebrew newspapers revealed that the Labor party under Ehud Barak has recovered lost ground but still trails the Likud.
If elections were held today, the Likud, under the leadership of Binyamin (Bibi) Netanyahu, would win between 30 and 34 seats in the Knesset, while Labor would win between 25 and 29 mandates.
Both polls show that Kadima would all but disintegrate, winning between five and 10 seats.
