Residents of northern Gaza say they are willing to return home in order to create a security buffer that would distance rocket-launchers from being able to fire on Ashkelon.
“It is a fact that they are shooting at Ashkelon, Sderot and the western Negev from my former home today,” said expelled Elei Sinai resident Avi Farhan.
“Returning there will solve two problems: We will be a security buffer protecting Ashkelon and showing the Arabs that terrorism does not pay, as well as solving the humanitarian problem of Gaza residents who still have not been provided with permanent housing solution two years after we were expelled from our homes.”
