The High Court of Justice ordered the government Sunday to present a plan of action to tear down "illegal outposts" within a month.
Supreme Court President Judge Dorit Beinisch ruled that Defense Minister Amir Peretz and other defense officials must present the plan to the court within a month's time. The ruling came in response to a petition by ultra-leftist group Peace Now regarding the destruction of the community of Migron, in Samaria.
The term "illegal outposts" refers to neighborhoods and communities built in Judea and Samaria without a government decision to create them. Most are outlying neighborhoods of communities that had been approved by the government.
