A fundraising campaign is underway to buy challot, the braided bread eaten on Shabbat, from a Sderot bakery and distribute them to families in the rocket-torn city.

Organizers hope to be able to buy hundreds or even thousands of challot from the local bakery, helping it financially and helping the community brighten up the Shabbat.
