Motorola to Establish Center in Jordan River Valley

The government’s Investment Center has approved a request from the Motorola company to establish a multi-disciplinary research and development center. The center will be built in the northern Jordan River Valley, and is expected to employ 200 academics in the next three years.

Researchers in the center will work to develop new technologies and programs for cell phones, computers, and other Motorola products. The center is expected to provide jobs to new graduates in the region, including the towns of Tiberias and Beit Shean.
