Hevron Community Calls for Removal of Biased Officer

(IsraelNationalNews.com) The Hevron Jewish community has called on Israel Police and the government to take action towards the removal of a Civil Administration officer that has in the past used unjustifiable force against juveniles residing in Admat Yishai, as well as continuing to act without provocation against the interests of the community in the holy city.

The statements come following the publication of an alleged increase in violent acts against police by the city’s Jewish residents. The official Hevron statement stated the facts being released by the Shai district of police are untrue and based in a large part on the misinformation of the one officer.

The Jewish community has come under the media spotlight over the past week, with reports of youths hurling eggs and rocks at police cars. Hevron leaders continue to call on residents to maintain law and order, while pointing out to the government and law enforcement agencies they have been under round-the-clock attacks by terrorists for over the past year, a fact that continues to place residents under enormous strain and pressure.

Community leaders continue to plead with the government to take the necessary actions to bring an end to the attacks that have already claimed innocent lives and injured many while having documented numerous cases of police brutality aimed against residents, including children and women.
