Weather: Cool for Seder followed by Heat Wave

Cool weather will accompany Israelis as they conduct the traditional Seder Monday night, ushering in the Passover holiday celebrating the people of Israel's freedom from bondage in Egypt. Occasional rain may fall in the north.

Cool temperatures will continue on Tuesday, but a warming trend will bring hot weather to the country at least through Friday. Forecasters are unsure whether the heat wave will break on the Sabbath or on Monday, but high winds, a sharp drop in temperatures and scattered showers are expected when it ends. Rain also is possible in the middle of next week.
