Fatah Forces Train in Egypt

The Fatah terrorist group has sent hundreds of members to Egypt for combat training. The trainees are members of Fatah’s Special Forces in Gaza, which currently has approximately 1,400 members. 1,000 have already received military training. Fatah hopes to enlist another 1,000 in the near future, bringing the total number of troops officially employed by either Fatah or Hamas in Gaza to almost 35,000.

Sources explained that the new forces are being trained for a possible confrontation with Hamas in the near future. The groups’ agreement to share control of the Palestinian Authority is seen by both sides as temporary, the sources said, and will end when Hamas believes it is strong enough to defeat Fatah.
