The activists planning a return to Homesh on Monday morning announced on Sunday night that once they arrive in Homesh, they plan to stay. Police and army officials had announced earlier in the day that they would allow the activists to return to the town and even stay there for one night, but after that they would be forced to leave.
The organizers promised that “even if we are forced out, we will return again and again.” They also said that starting on Independence Day, they would begin a political campaign for the return to Homesh.
Army officials estimate that several thousand activists will join Monday’s return to Homesh. Hundreds of activists have already made their way to nearby towns, and are waiting for daylight to continue the journey.
