Hamas spokesman Ghazi Hamad said the terrorist organization knows who kidnapped British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC) reporter Alan Johnston and is trying to negotiate his release. "This issue is on its way to being solved. We have definite information regarding the parties behind this kidnapping," he said.

Johnston, 44, was abducted by armed terrorists Monday afternoon while he was driving to his Gaza home, where he has lived for three years. His vehicle was found abandoned.
