Egypt Alleges Israel Executed POW’s After Six Day War

Egypt is alleging that Israel killed its prisoners of war captured in the 1967 Six Day War and has asked the government to investigate the matter.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit specifically accused current Minister of Infrastructure Benyamin Ben-Eliezer of ordering the execution of 250 POW’s immediately after the war ended.

Ben-Eliezer, who led the Shaked commando unit at that time, vehemently denied the charges.
