The Jerusalem-based Arab daily Al-Quds has labeled Monday's talks between American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas as "ridiculous." The self-described independent newspaper blamed Israel and the United States for not reviving peace negotiations.



A Qatar newspaper asked if Secretary Rice came to the Middle East to back the Israeli government or "incite Abbas against Hamas."
