Japan Considers Attacking N. Korea Missiles

(IsraelNN.com) A Japanese government spokesman said that Japan is considering whether launching a preemptive attack against North Korea’s missiles is consistent with Japan’s pacifist constitution.

"If we accept that there is no other option to prevent an attack...there is the view that attacking the launch base of the guided missiles is within the constitutional right of self-defense. We need to deepen discussion," Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe said.

Japan’s pacifist constitution was drafted by the United States following its victory against Japan in World War II.
