The Comments section is meant to enable thoughtful and courteous, even if emphatic, discourse among readers. We reserve the right to edit talkbacks in a manner that preserves our site’s character as a pleasant place to visit.

For your convenience, our Forum section enables more free-flowing on-line discussion.

We enjoy a sharp, witty comment as much as the next person, and we believe in treating our readers’ reactions with the utmost liberty – in consistence with our rules. The guidelines below reflect the public interest, the ethical imperatives that govern Israel National News, and the legal constraints under which we operate.

We are likely to reject comments that:

1. Call for violence against any sector of society
2. Include elements of missionary soliciting or promotion of the Christian Bible or cults
3. Use or hint at foul or immodest language (i.e. when # replaces a critical letter in an offensive word)
4. Insult Torah scholars
5. Are offensive to entire sectors of society, e.g. all Christians, Muslims, or Jews.
6. Apply the term “traitor” to public figures or entire sectors of society, or attack them as Nazis or the like.
7. Consist only of an insult, epithet, or mindless abuse
8. Have serious grammar and spelling errors, or are otherwise poorly written
9. Are written in CAPITAL letters.
