At the exact location where G-d promised Abraham that his Jewish descendants would number as "the stars in heaven", the Jewish People made a wrong turn. After fighting 12 years to save Amona, Amona was forsaken and betrayed. We, the Jewish People are to blame.

Yes, the Left among us who are smaller than ever plus a few Arab rabble rousers banded together and took down Amona. The New York Times and affiliated Leftist media, which had lost tremendous clout even before the U.S. Election,  celebrated. Watching Jewish soldiers expelling fellow Jews from our Homeland is a desecration of G-d's name("Chilul Hashem"). It does not evoke sympathy for the Jews as some mistakenly think.

It does not buy time. It does not enable massive building elsewhere. The Amona debacle and catastrophe only shows weakness and lack of unity. It only gives the forces working to derail Jewish building in our Ancestral and Indigenous Homeland ammunition. It also indoctrinates newly appointed President Trump Cabinet members in the wrong direction.

This should not have happened at all. With the Trump Presidency,  Amona should have and could have been saved. Prime Minister Netanyahu and others may have thought they would be rewarded in other ways if the Amona expulsion took place. This is entirely wrong and dangerous thinking. Now the struggle is that much harder. This was a bad precedent to set especially at the beginning of a friendly President's term. It should never have happened. The Jews of Amona tried very hard but were let down by major Jewish Organizations who did not raise an outcry.

I know for a fact that President Trump was spoken to about Amona. He could not be both President of the United States and Prime Minister of Israel. He did not want to see Amona torn apart. This was not his wish.

Unfortunately, it was very much the wish of his predecessor who bears a great deal of the responsibility for encouraging the Amona destruction. The Jewish People cannot afford to make mistakes and blunders like Amona. We better get a lot smarter if we are going to have to deal with a world that does not want us to become the Great Nation we are.
