Last week, a terrorist came into our city disguised as a worker...he attacked someone that so many of us know - even if only as a small conversation here or there, a greeting as we rush in to buy something or a quick "shalom" or "todah" as we leave.

In the last 72 hours, Maale Adumim and countless other people from all over the country gave an answer to terror by donating almost 3,000 books (plus about 1,000 we had put away from the last book swap). From Gush Etzion, Jerusalem and Ramat Beit Shemesh, people gave books. From much farther away, people offered - Mitzpe Ramon, Ramat Gan, Maale Levona, Shiloh and beyond.

The important thing however - happens tonight. As grateful as I am (and OMG, am I), what happens tonight from 6:30 to 9:30 and tomorrow night from 7:30 - 9:00) is what matters.

Please come tonight - come tonight and buy books...come because where can you get the latest best sellers for only 5 or 10 NIS?

Come because all the money is going to a family...one of our own...that has been devastated by terror.

Our answer is in the books - in the lives we build and the community we love. Life...light...knowledge...books. That's what it is all about.

So please come tonight and please don't hesitate - buy as many books as you can (we'll also have a donation box where you can throw in loose change (and bills)).

Come tonight - as our answer to terror.

Help Maale Adumim do two important things - raise money to help the family of a terror victim, and offer your own answer. You will not stop us. We will continue to be the people of the Book, the people of Israel. We will choose life and light and books...always books!

Please God, Am Yisrael Chai and Ahiya Zvi ben Batya Chai!
