Here we go again. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is charging that Israel didn't allow civilians to leave one of its schools in Gaza before attacking the Islamic terrorists that were based inside and were shooting at Israeli soldiers. The Israeli government announced that it would investigate this latest incident, then cried foul, claiming that the charges are untrue.
For how long will we Israelis allow ourselves to be defensive pawns in this cynical game of having to "investigate" every time these ridiculous charges are made? For years, Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists have been using UNRWA schools as military bases. If UNRWA had any true sense of ethics or moral conscience, it would have closed down these "schools" a long time ago and charged Hamas and Islamic Jihad with war crimes for invading their schools and holding children and UNRWA staff as hostages.
Time for a reality check. Could it possibly be that the injustice-seekers at UNRWA are actually accomplices in these war crimes? By allowing the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists to use UNRWA schools as military bases, without a word of protest in the UN Security Council or in the world media, the self-righteous crybabies at UNRWA are exposing themselves as actual accomplices in the use of children as human shields.
And that is a war crime.
