Follow The Money... Who's Trying to Weaken Israel?

Nothing new in this, the world is against us Jews and Israel. That's this week's upcoming Parshat Shavua Torah Portion of the Week, Balak.
The Jewish Press has a report that Western governments are supporting the church's anti-Israel "activism."
A report published on Monday by NGO Monitor reveals that several European governments, as well as the United States and Canada, have been providing funds for church-based efforts to delegitimize Israel, starting at the 2001 UN Durban Conference, and continuing with boycotts, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) over the past decade.

These tax-payer funds are disbursed as grants to church-based humanitarian NGOs, which then transfer these funds to highly politicized pro-Palestinian NGOs.
Since last year when the Korach כְּמִתְאֹנְנִים kimit'oninim, like "murmurers" faux social justice sic began their well-funded anti-government campaign all over Israel, I've been wondering who's funding them. Those faux social justice agitators are like weeds that started off looking like attractive wild flowers and have ended up damaging the garden.

It's no secret that the New Israel Fund has been training anti-government activists on how to most effectively protest. And not only does the NIF deal with protests, it trains representatives on how to fundraise, how to research foundations and request money. For thirty years, the best place to learn how to raise money for NPO's amutot in Israel is taking a course run by Shatil of the New Israel Fund.
SHATIL, the New Israel Fund's empowerment and training center was established in 1982 to promote democracy, tolerance, and social justice in Israel. Recognizing the need for building a strong civil society in Israel, SHATIL, Israel's leading capacity building center for social change organizations, provides over 1000 non-profit organizations with consulting and training in organizational development, advocacy, media and PR, coalition building, resource development and volunteer management each year.
SHATIL has been promoting civil society and helping Israeli society put democratic principles into practice for the past 30 years.
With offices in Haifa- serving the northern periphery, Beersheva- serving the southern periphery, and Jerusalem in the center of the country, SHATIL's multi-cultural staff has a broad understanding of Israeli society and is in the position to help the third sector mobilize to promote civil society in Israel.
Most people have no idea how long The New Israel Fund has been working on their project to mold Israel into the secular Leftist country they want. For years, David Bedein and I have been talking about doing something similar to make a stronger Jewish Israel. He has done impressive work with his Israel Behind The News, but we still have nothing to counter Shatil in terms of helping the various pro-Jewish rights in the Land of Israel groups. We need the empowerment and we need to reach out.
Our internal enemies are getting strong. Actually the violence in this year's protests have made me more optimistic, because their true natures are being revealed. Ruthie Blum writes about them from her perspective in Israel Hayom.
Last summer, when the social protest tents started popping up on Tel Aviv’s Rothschild Boulevard, I knew I was going to have to absent myself from the festivities — other than to become an observer for the purpose of anthropological, psychological, sociological, cultural and political analysis. And it really bummed me out not to be able to participate......But it was not to be, which is just as well; the current round of demonstrations have a much more menacing — and less hippy-dippy — flavor than last year’s. And fighting the police is simply not my thing. In fact, if there’s one population in this country that cannot make ends meet financially it’s the people in the police force. Furthermore, unlike the leaders of the “occupy Tel Aviv” movement — who have white-collar backgrounds — most of the men and women in blue do not even have affluent moms and dads on whom to fall back when the bills pile up.......The trouble with those guys is that they, too, live according to socialist — not capitalist — norms, by controlling the price of goods and services. This goes against the free market; it is not a product of it... read more
Like many of the Leftist propaganda, they coat it with attractive candy-wrapping, but the inside is dangerous to our health and dangerous to the security and continued existence of the State of Israel.
